The nature of Indian nationalism has been the subject of intense debate in recent times. A lack of clarity on the subject has inhibited a meaningful response to the challenges confronting the Indian state and society. In the process of the rapid strides in globalization, while at one level the interactions amongst nations have increased, it has also resulted at another level in the strengthening the national consciousness among various groups. In this backdrop, Centre for Study of Religion and Society (CSRS), New Delhi is organizing a two day National Seminar on “Cultural Nationalism: The Indian Perspective” on 7 – 8 August, 2013 at Bengaluru.
